This Privacy Policy describes how Planlark, operated by Planlark LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as Planlark ("Planlark," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when users access or use the Planlark mobile application and related services (the "Service").
Account Information: We may collect name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, login method, profile information, and related account details.
Contact Access: With permission, Planlark may access device contacts to identify friends using the platform or send SMS invitations requested by users.
Location Information: With permission, Planlark may collect location data to help users select locations for plans and improve location-based features.
Plan Activity Data: Planlark collects information related to plans such as titles, dates, times, locations, invited participants, friend groups, messages or invitation details, and completion status.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, diagnostic data, and similar technical information.
Analytics: Planlark uses Firebase and similar tools to collect analytics such as app usage metrics, feature engagement, performance data, and crash reports.
We may use information to operate the Service, create and manage accounts, coordinate plans, provide app features, send invitations, provide support, maintain security, prevent misuse, analyze usage, improve features, and comply with legal obligations.
We may use phone numbers to verify accounts, send SMS invitations requested by users, deliver plan-related notifications, reminders, account alerts, and other service-related messages.
Planlark does not sell, rent, or share users' phone numbers, SMS opt-in status, or SMS consent data with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share phone numbers and SMS-related information with service providers, such as messaging providers, only as necessary to operate the Service, deliver messages requested by users, maintain security, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
Information may be shared with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, messaging providers, customer support tools, and security vendors.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of business.
Information is retained as long as necessary to operate the Service, provide requested features, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
Users may delete their account through the account settings in the app. Deleting the account removes associated personal data except where retention is required by law, needed for security or fraud prevention, or necessary to maintain limited business records.
Users may manage certain permissions, such as contacts, notifications, and location access, through device settings or app settings. Disabling permissions may limit the functionality of certain Planlark features.
Users may request information about their data, request correction, or ask questions about privacy practices by contacting hello@planlark.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Planlark is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures are implemented to protect user data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information may be transferred to and processed on servers located in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. The updated policy will be effective as of the date stated at the top of the policy.
